So it really wasn’t a secret garden but I was captivated by the detail and couldn’t help but look for fairies!  What images have you stumbled upon recently that took you by surprise?

  2. did you take those pictures? the colors are fantastic! it is nice to see some color and life; where I live (Sonoran Desert) everything is dry now: super hot and not a lot of water. Not recently, but last May we were in Philly, walking randomly, and found by surprise a place called Magic Gardens on South street... it is not a garden per se, but a collage of mosaic and recycled materials (anything from multicolor cristal to a toilet) - it was awesome to see and to capture in pictures!

  4. I love these pictures. They remind me when I was young and searched for fairies in my grandmother's garden. Very special.

  5. Hi Linda ~
What a fun memory! I remember an early home that had vine-covered arbors & I would play & hide there for what seemed like hours inventing worlds of flying with fairies and singing in the stars!

  6. Hi,

Thanks for coming by and saying Happy Birthday to my little ones. The blob was such a good movie. I just remember another good one Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I need to get netflix so I can rent that and get a big bowl of popcorn.

I love the pictures. I saw a beautiful purple flower when I was at the zoo with the kids. It put such a smile on my face and reminded me why I love purple.

    Have a great Thursday.

  16. Dawn,
Great pictures! I am often amazed at the places that beauty and a sense of magic can be found! My own yard is pretty wild and I love crawling in the midst of tall grasses and wildflowers and experiencing the unique presence of that individual spot.
My granddaughter found some Peace in the squash patch the other day. I have a great picture, I think it's on my facebook page. It's a good journaling prompt, and as I am working on my Memoirs I am remembering the time I spent in nature as a child and the way it stimulated my imagination, curiosity and creativity1
Thanks again for another inspiration :)

  17. Thanks for sharing this one today. Kinda missing the summertime flowers. This perked my soul right up.

When we were kids, we built a whole world of wonder within the stand of lilacs by the barn. Still think of that whenever I need a good childhood memory.
